This is my friend Steph, with her wonderful children.
You can help stop her becoming homeless.
Steph is currently very unwell with mental health problems. She is a single mum with two wonderful children, Caleb and Natty. They are currently being cared for by a close family friend, an incredibly difficult decision Steph made in the best interests of her children whom she loves dearly. Both children are on the autistic spectrum and therefore have additional needs.
Due to circumstances beyond her control she can no longer afford the rent on her current house and is being evicted in less than two months time. She is working hard to be put on the list for council housing, but that may come too late. Additionally she may end up being housed miles away from her kids which would prevent her from seeing them anywhere near as regularly as she does now. Not being able to see them would torture her, and would only make her mental health deteriorate further. Her immediate family all live in the USA, whilst Steph and her kids live in Wales, so staying with them isn’t an option. Her family are also unable to help her financially in any way.
£1,500 would be enough to cover rent for 4 months on a house less than a mile away from where her children are currently living. It would give Steph somewhere safe to live, a sense of security and the opportunity to recover from her current debilitating problems. Furthermore she would be able to rent an actual house, instead of a run down studio flat. This would mean when she was well enough her kids could easily return to living with her, which is what everyone involved longs for.
Please help me help Steph to be able to hope again, and stop her being made homeless or being separated from her kids. Donations can be made on the GoFundMe page I have set up in her name:
